Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the lemon juice.
  3. Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper and place them in a baking dish.
  4. Pour the lemon butter sauce over the cod.
  5. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the top of the fish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the breadcrumbs are golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
