- 1 cup unsalted butter, browned
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup M&M’s (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring frequently until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in M&M’s if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing into bars and enjoy!
Notes
These blondies can be served with ice cream or chocolate sauce, and can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
