Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1/4 tsp salt
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp sugar
Caramel sauce, for drizzling
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup for topping.
3. Press remaining crust mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
4. While crust bakes, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Pour over hot crust.
5. Toss diced apples with cinnamon and sugar. Spread over cheesecake layer.
6. Sprinkle reserved crust mixture over apples as a crumble topping.
7. Bake 35–40 minutes or until center is set and top is lightly golden.
8. Cool completely. Chill for at least 2 hours.
9. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving. Cut into squares.
Notes
Bars can be made ahead and refrigerated up to 3 days.
Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best texture and flavor.
Freeze individually wrapped bars for up to 2 months.
