  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. While brownies cool, make the mousse by melting chocolate and letting it cool slightly.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in the melted chocolate.
  8. Spread the mousse over the cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  9. For the ganache, melt additional chocolate with cream, then pour over the mousse layer.
  10. Refrigerate until set, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes
