- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth.
- Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- While brownies cool, make the mousse by melting chocolate and letting it cool slightly.
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in the melted chocolate.
- Spread the mousse over the cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- For the ganache, melt additional chocolate with cream, then pour over the mousse layer.
- Refrigerate until set, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Best served chilled. Consider adding a dollop of whipped cream or chocolate shavings for decoration.
