Ingredients

- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the sugar and butter until creamy.
- Add the eggs and milk to the mixture, and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- In another bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together.
- Pour half of the batter into your prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-brown sugar mixture over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-brown sugar mixture over it.
- Use a butter knife to swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter gently.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with icing or ice cream. To store, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
