Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces pasta shells
- 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes.
- In a separate pot, cook the pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Stir in the heavy cream and cheese into the skillet with the beef mixture until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Add the cooked pasta shells to the mixture, stirring until combined.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
Notes
Brown the beef well for better flavor. Drain excess fat so the sauce is not greasy. Use freshly shredded cheese for smooth melting. If the sauce is too thick, add a little milk or broth.
