- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour, salt, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon until a dough forms.
- Let the dough cool for a few minutes, then transfer it to a piping bag.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Pipe small bite-sized pieces of dough into the air fryer basket.
- Spray with cooking spray and cook for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of sugar with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Toss the fried churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.
Notes
Serve warm, optionally paired with chocolate sauce or caramel dip. Store leftovers in an airtight container or freeze for longer storage.
