A comforting custard cake that’s simple to make and loved by the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk until just below boiling.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture while whisking continuously to temper the eggs.
  5. Pour the custard mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake in a water bath for 30-40 minutes, or until the custard is set and lightly golden.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding chocolate or caramel sauce. Almond milk can be used as a substitute for regular milk.
