- 1 box of sponge cake mix
- 1 cup of boiling water
- 1 cup of pureed strawberries
- 1 cup of strawberry-flavored gelatin
- 2 cups of whipped cream
- Fresh strawberries for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the sponge cake mix instructions.
- Prepare the sponge cake mixture as directed. Pour it into a greased cake pan and bake until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake bakes, mix the boiling water with the strawberry-flavored gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Stir the pureed strawberries into the gelatin mixture and let it cool slightly.
- Once the cake has cooled, carefully cut it into two layers.
- Place the bottom layer on a serving plate and spread half of the whipped cream on top.
- Pour half of the strawberry gelatin mixture over the whipped cream layer.
- Place the second layer of cake on top. Repeat the process with the remaining whipped cream and gelatin.
- Decorate the top with fresh strawberries as desired.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
Notes
For variations, use mixed berries or add cream cheese to the whipped cream for a creamier texture.
