A simple yet delightful cake made with layers of sponge cake, strawberry gelatin, and whipped cream, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of sponge cake mix
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 1 cup of pureed strawberries
  • 1 cup of strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups of whipped cream
  • Fresh strawberries for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the sponge cake mix instructions.
  2. Prepare the sponge cake mixture as directed. Pour it into a greased cake pan and bake until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. While the cake bakes, mix the boiling water with the strawberry-flavored gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. Stir the pureed strawberries into the gelatin mixture and let it cool slightly.
  5. Once the cake has cooled, carefully cut it into two layers.
  6. Place the bottom layer on a serving plate and spread half of the whipped cream on top.
  7. Pour half of the strawberry gelatin mixture over the whipped cream layer.
  8. Place the second layer of cake on top. Repeat the process with the remaining whipped cream and gelatin.
  9. Decorate the top with fresh strawberries as desired.
  10. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least one hour.

Notes

For variations, use mixed berries or add cream cheese to the whipped cream for a creamier texture.
