Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package Red velvet Oreos (22 cookies)
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 7 oz green candy melts
- Red heart sprinkles
Instructions
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until fine crumbs form.
- Add in the cream cheese and mix again until a soft dough forms.
- Using a 1 tablespoon measuring spoon, scoop out the dough and roll it between the palms of your hands. Place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat this process until you are done.
- Chill the truffle balls in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts in 30-second increments, mixing after each time. If the candy melts aren’t thin enough to dip, add 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil or any unflavored oil and mix well.
- Use a chocolate dipping fork to dip each truffle ball into the melted candy, coating it evenly. Place it back on the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining truffles.
- Place any leftover candy melts in a piping bag and drizzle it over the truffles. Add a red heart sprinkle on top to create the iconic Grinch heart.
- Allow the truffles to set in the fridge for a few minutes, then enjoy!
Notes
Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for three months.
