- 1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 10 oz can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilies), drained
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley or green onions (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbly. Drain any excess grease.
- In a large mixing bowl, add softened cream cheese and sour cream.
- Stir in the cooked sausage, Rotel, cheddar, and mozzarella cheese. Mix well to combine.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the dip mixture to a baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Garnish the dip with fresh parsley or green onions before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.
Notes
For a creamier dip, ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing. Adjust the heat by using different sausage and cayenne pepper amounts.
