These homemade peanut butter granola bars are quick to make, filling, and easy to customize with your favorite ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup nuts or seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, and honey or maple syrup until well mixed.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts or seeds, if using.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

For a vegan option, use maple syrup and vegan chocolate chips. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
