Ingredients
- Boneless chicken thighs or breasts
- Buttermilk
- Hot sauce
- Flour
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Butter
- Honey
- Chili flakes
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk and hot sauce for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in milk to form a dough. Roll out and cut into biscuit shapes.
- Bake biscuits for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Fry marinated chicken until crispy and golden.
- In a small saucepan, warm honey and add chili flakes for the hot honey sauce.
- Assemble by placing fried chicken on biscuits and drizzling with hot honey.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight. Make sure the butter is very cold for flakier biscuits. Don’t roll the biscuit dough too thin for a fluffier texture.
