  • 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, green), sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Cooked pasta or rice (optional for serving)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the sliced bell peppers and cook until they begin to soften.
  5. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 10-15 minutes.
  7. Serve over cooked pasta or rice, and top with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
