Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef

3 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

1 tbsp sesame oil

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tsp fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 cups cooked white rice

2 green onions, chopped

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.

2. Stir in minced garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute.

3. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.

4. Stir well and simmer for 2–3 minutes.

5. Spoon over cooked rice, then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Sub ground turkey for a leaner option.

Use cauliflower rice to make it low-carb.

Add shredded carrots, spinach, or zucchini for extra veggies.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
