- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Ice cream or cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix lemon juice and zest, then pour over the batter. Do not stir; the mixture will separate while baking.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and set.
- Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
Notes
For added flavor, mix in a cup of berries or try different citrus juices. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
