Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup matcha green tea powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
