- 150 grams (1 ½ cups) all-purpose flour
- 100 ml (½ cup) water
- 100 ml (½ cup) milk
- 80 grams (⅓ cup) butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 500 ml (2 cups) milk
- 150 grams (¾ cup) sugar
- 100 grams (1 cup) all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 180 grams (¾ cup) butter
- Icing sugar or your favorite garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix 150 grams of all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat 4 eggs, 100 ml water, and 100 ml milk. Slowly add in the melted 80 grams of butter.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until smooth.
- In a saucepan, heat 500 ml of milk and 150 grams of sugar.
- In a separate bowl, whisk 100 grams of flour and 2 eggs together.
- When the milk is warm, slowly add it to the egg and flour mixture, stirring continuously.
- Return this mixture to the saucepan and cook until it thickens, stirring often. Remove from heat and add 180 grams of butter. Let it cool.
- Pour half of the dough into a cake pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool. Spread the cream filling over the cake, then top with the remaining dough and bake for another 20 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Serve chilled or at room temperature. Dust with icing sugar or add your preferred garnish.
