  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix in the softened butter and sour cream until it forms a soft dough.
  4. Add the egg and orange zest, mixing until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
  6. Roll the dough out into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Cut the dough into strips and then roll each strip into a spiral.
  8. Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. While the rolls bake, mix the powdered sugar, orange juice, and melted butter in a bowl until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the warm glaze over the rolls after they come out of the oven.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating cinnamon or chocolate chips into the dough. Use store-bought biscuit dough to save time.
