- 1 small head Cabbage (cut into thick slices)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (for brushing)
- 1 pound Ground Beef or Turkey (or ground chicken or plant-based options)
- 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 large Egg (optional, for binding)
- 1 cup Cheese (for sprinkling on top)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- Brush the cabbage slices with olive oil on both sides and place them on the baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and the egg, if using. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
- Scoop a portion of the meat mixture and form it into patties. Place each patty on top of the cabbage slices.
- Sprinkle cheese generously on top of each patty.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is thoroughly cooked and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Great for leftovers; store in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
