Ingredients
2 large Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream or chicken broth
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Butter or oil for greasing dish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
2. Layer half of the potatoes on the bottom, overlapping slightly.
3. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and half the garlic powder.
4. Add half the chicken and half the cheese on top.
5. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, seasoning, chicken, and cheese.
6. Pour cream evenly over the top.
7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
8. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbling.
9. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken to save time.
Add spinach, bacon, or herbs for variety.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
