Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup mustard
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Crush the pretzels in a food processor or by using a rolling pin until finely crushed.
- In a bowl, mix the crushed pretzels with salt and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat with the pretzel mixture.
- Place the coated chicken breasts on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown.
- In a small saucepan, combine the mustard and shredded cheddar over low heat until melted and creamy.
- Serve the chicken with the mustard-cheddar sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
Pat the chicken dry before coating to ensure the coating sticks. For extra crispiness, use olive oil spray on the crust.
