- 1 package of puff pastry sheets
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (for sprinkling)
- Whipped cream or ice cream (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
- Place a small spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of the squares over the filling to create a pocket and seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
- Place the bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
Notes
Try different fillings like apple or blueberry. These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
