A delightful and easy-to-make Raspberry Swirl Brioche Loaf that is perfect for family breakfasts or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, softened butter, and eggs.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the raspberry jam evenly over it, and roll it up tightly.
  6. Twist the rolled dough into a loaf shape and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before slicing. Enjoy toasted or as a snack!

Notes

For a sweeter loaf, add a tablespoon of vanilla extract. You can also experiment with using different fruit jams or adding nuts.
