- 8 breakfast sausage links (cooked)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter or cooking oil, for frying
- Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions
- Cook the breakfast sausage links according to package directions until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, optional sugar, and optional cinnamon until well combined.
- Take each slice of flattened bread and place a cooked sausage link at one end. Roll the bread tightly around the sausage.
- Dip each sausage roll-up into the egg mixture, ensuring all sides are coated.
- Heat butter or oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Place the roll-ups in the hot skillet, seam-side down first, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm with maple syrup for dipping.
Notes
Store leftover roll-ups in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
