Ingredients

  • Ingredients needed to make the cake (as per cake box instructions)
  • 1 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • Candy melts or white chocolate
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Sprinkles for decoration
  • Mini chocolate chips or candies for eyes and buttons
  • Orange candy or fondant for the noses

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the box instructions. Allow it to cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  3. Add frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until combined. The mixture should be moist but not too wet.
  4. Roll the mixture into balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Make some balls bigger for the bottom and smaller for the head.
  5. Insert a lollipop stick into each ball.
  6. Melt the candy melts or white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl.
  7. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, coating it completely. Tap off the excess.
  8. Place the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or a tall cup to let the coating set.
  9. Once set, use sprinkles and mini chocolate chips to create eyes, buttons, and a mouth.
  10. Add a small piece of orange candy or fondant for the nose.
  11. Let the decorations dry completely before serving.
