Ingredients

- 1 head of cabbage, chopped
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil or butter
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
- Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
- Add the sliced onions to the skillet and sauté until they are translucent.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the bacon to the skillet and mix well.
- Serve hot as a delicious side dish.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding garlic or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. For a vegetarian version, leave out the bacon and use olive oil.
