Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage, chopped
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
  2. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  3. Add the sliced onions to the skillet and sauté until they are translucent.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Return the bacon to the skillet and mix well.
  7. Serve hot as a delicious side dish.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding garlic or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. For a vegetarian version, leave out the bacon and use olive oil.
