A quick and delicious dessert combining cheesecake flavors and strawberries with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 can of cherry pie filling
  • 1 package of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of butter (melted)
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cherry filling.
  5. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly, then serve warm or chilled, garnished with fresh strawberries.

Notes

You can substitute plain Greek yogurt for sour cream. Freeze the cake for up to three months in an airtight container.
