A delightful dessert that combines the rich flavor of chocolate with fresh strawberries and creamy cheesecake goodness. Easy to make for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 8 oz of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup of shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
  • Whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the batter in the baking dish, then sprinkle the chopped strawberries, coconut, and nuts over the top.
  6. Pour the remaining cake batter on top.
  7. Use a knife to gently swirl the cream cheese mixture into the batter.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving. Top with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to two months.
