- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, then stir in the molasses and milk until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy with a dusting of powdered sugar or your favorite frosting!
